2016 - 2017

I worked on Moshi Monsters: Egg Hunt as a Unity developer. Egg hunt is a mobile game with elements of collection, home building, mini game and art - aimed at a younger audience.

The Moshi Monsters: Egg Hunt game revolved around a large central map and players could travel to lots of different exciting places to find eggs to hatch, play games, create artwork or simply relax and watch some Moshi videos.

The game featured a number of elements that required some backend integrations - such as UGC storage, timed event, social elements, notifications and announcements - with some of these backend concerns falling to me to implement.

There were a number of event based mechanics - searching for items that reset daily, hatching your eggs each day. There was also an art gallery where players could share their drawing for a chance to be showcased the following day. Players could also share their unique code and add friends characters in their own game.

While working on Egg Hunt I was developing features and mini games in Unity and additionally developing and connecting to the backend services that were required by some of these.

I was also involved in many of the design and gameplay decisions being made by the company during development.
